Acid Red 1 - Introduction
Soluble in water is a big red solution, slightly soluble in alcohol and fibrinolytic, insoluble in other organic solvents. In case of concentrated sulfuric acid, it is blue-red, and it is yellowish red after dilution; in case of concentrated nitric acid, it is orange-red solution, and then turns orange; in case of concentrated hydrochloric acid, a red precipitate is formed, which is dissolved after dilution. The aqueous solution is red with concentrated hydrochloric acid; the solution with sodium hydroxide is orange brown.
